Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

"Flood Cuts."

During a recent rain storm event, ground water flowed through this building. Our IICRC certified water crew removed the debris and they removed sections of the damaged wallboard.  Note how the lower two feet of wallboard was removed. We call this a "flood cut." Two feet is used because it allows the reconstruction crew to split a four foot by eight food sheet of wall board into two pieces. This reduces waste and maximizes how much linear repair can be accomplish with the least amount of sheets.

The cuts must be made in a neat and straight fashion, which simplifies the installation of the replacement. Note how nice a finished room looks at this flooded structure.
